Our Vision

We are committed to meeting our targets and reducing our environmetal impact in being responsible and pro-active in our approach.

Our environmental and sustainability policy document is a continually evolving program of addressing legal and regulatory requirements, and assisting people to embui those values in their personal undertakings.

Our Policy Aims

Ensuring that all environmental factors are taken into account in out daily operations of the business.

We shall create a framework for monitoring and safeguarding the targets, improvements and performance agreements.

As part of the framework, we shall consider and embrace new technologies enabling us to reduce our environmental impact even further, reviewing and revising procurement policies and work with suppliers striving for the same aims.

We shall endeavor to always promote awareness among all our staff and stakeholders, encouraging an understanding of the crisis facing all humanity and support initiatives to reduce our contribution.

The Policy Objectives

Our organisation and its strategic partners will meet these aims through:

  • Working with the relevant bodies to ensure compliance
  • Directly challenge waste and instill a duty of care in the organisation and its partners
  • Introduce and train staff in the advocacy of these policies
  • Build on policies and programs encompassing development of all staff, volunteers and stakeholders alike in:< o Management of energy waste; turning off all mains equipment except for mission critical equipment, turn lights off – use low energy technology lights o All thermostats to be reduced by 2? over the next 12 months – aiming for 3? by 2012 o Reduce water consumption; reduced by deploying low energy devices, training o Reduce environmental impact of stationary usage; target set to be paperless (max 5% usage) office in 24 months time. o Reducing travel by deploying Video/Teleconferencing with suppliers, clients and stakeholders o
  • Monitor, measure and evaluate policies; developing improvements and engage with staff to take ownership of these developments

    Advocacy of this Policy

    We will make sure that these policies and principals become part of a living document and process:

  • providing all new staff members, volunteers and stakeholders with an induction process introducing our policies
  • have the policy documents readily available in all of our public facing interfaces as well as in training, education and marketing collateral.
  • have an update procedure in place to ensure the latest changes to legislation is always reflected in the policy documents
  • review policies before every recruitment drive
  • continuous development programs are conducted for all staff
  • facilitating staff attendance and support staff initiatives.
  • Ownership, Delegation and Responsibilities

    All staff, volunteers and stakeholders have a duty of responsibility to familiarise themselves with this policy.

    They should ensure compliance, report any breach or incident, alleged incident directly to management.

    Culture

    The Owners and Directors, as well as other stakeholders holding a position that includes a duty of care, are aware that creating and maintaining effective processes and policies will ensure the longevity and contribution that each individual, group, organisation and nation cam make to the overall responsibility to the planet.

    We have a cultural mission to ensure that this happens and commit ourselves to involving our people in the development and implementation of these policies.

    Monitoring and Continued Development

    We are committed to the principals and legalities of the policies contained in the document.

    We shall monitor the effectiveness of all such policies on a regular basis and provide updates annually, or whenever there is a legislative update.

    These updates will be communicated to the staff, trainers and stakeholders via regulator improvement and development training programs.

    We shall endeavor to eliminate any unjust and discriminatory victimisation in this organisation in order to stay true to achieving out aims for equality and diversity.
